GleanarySettings
A reference for each page in Settings.
Open Settings with Settings… or ⌘,. There are six pages.
| Option | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Provider | Which AI handles new chat messages. |
| Model | Which of the provider’s models to use. |
| Bulk work model | The model for large jobs. Same as chat unless you change it. |
| Account | Sign in to ChatGPT, add another account, reconnect or sign out. |
| Allow sharing with OpenAI | Whether Gleanary may send requests to ChatGPT. |
| API Keys | Your keys for the OpenAI API, Claude, Gemini and OpenRouter. |

Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”| Option | What it changes |

| Notes, Sources | The Font and Size for each kind of item. |
| Graph | Which kinds of item appear as points in the graph. |
Capture
Section titled “Capture”| Option | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Summarize saved links | Whether new links get a summary. On at first. |
| Save page previews | Whether Gleanary keeps an image of each web page. |
| Read notes for entities in the background | Whether Apple Intelligence picks out people, organizations and tools as you save. Off at first. |
| Follow links in saved sources | How far Gleanary follows links. See Follow links. |
| Levels for categories | A different link-following level for chosen categories. |
| Sites you muted | Sites whose links Gleanary skips. |
Changes apply to the next link you save.
Filing
Section titled “Filing”Add, edit and delete categories, and add starter sets. See File with Johnny.Decimal.
Writing
Section titled “Writing”Choose the default Writing style, or make your own with Customize…. See Write documents.
Keyboard
Section titled “Keyboard”Set a keyboard shortcut for any command.
Not in Settings
Section titled “Not in Settings”Automations have their own screen. Choose Automations in the sidebar. See Automations.
